Personally I would prefer competition to be completely human input with no software assistance whether you are on mouse or controller. This just ends up creating a divide in the community between the input types which is very unhealthy and leaves everyone unhappy.

There are many more controller players now than when the game came out, and multiple pro mouse and keyboard players have chosen to make the switch to controller and take advantage of the powerful aim assist. There are some controller players that are skilled enough to hang with the m&k players, but not many.Ĭompare this to a game like apex legends, where the pro scene (NA) has slowly been replacing mouse and keyboard players with controller players. This is really the only way to keep the game completely fair with pc being whatever input you want, but with no software assistance. Cross-play is one of the best thing in gaming history IMO. I know that it kind of defeats the point of crossplay, but Id rather have fewer available lobbies than deal with the logic behind balancing aim assist with no assist. The difference between overwatch and other games these day is that I believe in crossplay the controller players do NOT get any aim assist. My opinion on crossplay is that there should be separate controller lobbies and kb+m lobbies.
